Time to ditch major parties, vote for change, urges Raj

In a rally held at Kalachowkie late Sunday night, MNS chief Raj Thackeray came down heavily on the ruling alliance as well as the main opposition parties. Stating that the people have tired of all four major parties dominating the scene, Raj accused the four of being hand in glove with each other.

“Congress-NCP and BJP-Sena are all hand in glove with each other. That’s why nobody protested against the government on any public issue. They make their relatives contest the polls, and we vote them to power. It’s time we changed this,” he said.

The opposition, Raj said, never let them speak on the issue of removal of toll tax. “We spoke to opposition leader Eknath Khadse about the issue, but he told us that they would raise their voice against toll-tax in the next session — but that never happened.”

At the rally, Raj brought up the Marathi manoos issue yet again. “Today, the Marathi manoos stays in rental houses. The government has failed to introduce any affordable housing scheme for them. All political leaders are linked to builders, which is why there is no affordable housing in the state for the Marathi manoos,” Raj said.

“The ruling parties have only tried to guzzle money. The people are not being given the amenities and infrastructure they deserve,” he said. Pitching MNS as a party that is concerned about developmental issues, Raj cited several schemes that he intends to introduce if his party is voted to power. “Among other things, I will start a sports academy and prioritise education of the youngsters,” he said.
