LAHORE: The family and relatives of Malik Tahir, who was killed by the guard of rx-Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani’s son Abdul Qadri Gilani a few days ago in the Defence area, staged a protest at the Liberty Roundabout on Sunday and demanded arrest of Qadir Gilani, the only nominated accused in the case.

The protesters, who were also joined by activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) at the end of the protest, blamed the Punjab government and Lahore police for not arresting Qadir Gilani who was in his vehicle at the time of shooting.

Model Town SP (Operations) Baqiz Raza said up to 14 people belonging to the victim’s family had gathered at the roundabout to lodge their protest. He said three groups of the PTI also reached the spot after the departure of Tahir’s family and raised slogans.
