Raj Chakrabarty finalizes model Roja for his next

Model Roja Dey is set for her Tollywood debut with Raj Chakrabarty���s film, Kath Mundu
A scorcher on the runway and a headturner off it too. Model Roja Dey, who has had film offers coming to her by the dozens, is finally set for the ���big��� leap. She will play one of the leads in Raj Chakrabarty���s Kath Mundu. The film also stars Saswata Chatterjee, Srabanti, Mimi Chakraborty, Soham, Abir Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Malobika Banerjee and Ekkavali Khanna.Music is by Anupam Roy, while Sirsha Ray has been roped in as the DoP. ���I was looking for someone who could play a Nepali girl. It took me a minute to decide after coming across Roja���s portfolio. There is innocence in her face, which is a must for the character that she is essaying. Roja will play the role of a receptionist at a hotel in Kathmandu and there is a love angle between Rudranil���s character and her. Roja is quite confident, as she has been modelling for ads and that involves a bit of acting too,��� said Raj. The film will go on the floors from November 5. ���We will start shooting in Kathmandu. Parts of the movie will also be canned in Darjeeling, Sikkim and Kolkata. At the start of my career I did a telefilm called Kath Mundu and obviously then, this film is very close to my heart,��� smiled the director.
Roja, on her part, is super-excited. ���I don���t have a sharp nose and thought I���d land a bit role if I ever took up acting! But I didn���t know my nose will one day help me bag a pivotal role in a Raj Chakrabarty film,��� said Roja.
