M. Abhinav’s 115 (137b, 16x4, 1x6) put Coimbatore in the semifinal, by virtue of first innings lead, after its quarterfinal against Tiruchi ended in a draw in the TNCA under-25 inter-district tournament here on Thursday.
The left-handed Abhinav, who took four wickets and played a key role in bowling out the visitor for 184, stitched together a crucial 77-run stand for the fifth wicket with J. Suresh Kumar (43).
Ganesh scalps fiveAt Nagapattinam, medium-pacer B. Ganesh’s five-wicket haul helped the host bundle out Vellore for 84, replying to 191, and booked his team a place in the last four.
Left-arm spinner B. Aiyappan proved an able foil, chipping in with four for 16.
At Salem, Kancheepuram advanced to the semifinals by virtue of first-innings lead. After scoring 356 for nine, the visitors skittled out the host for 89.
At Tiruvallur, Amith Singh’s five for 11 helped the host shoot out Dindigul for 92 to take the first innings lead and qualify for the semifinals.

At Salem: Kancheepuram 356 for nine in 90 overs & 54 for one in 17 overs (B. Roop Prasad 31 n.o.) drew with Salem 89 in 22.5 overs (A.C. Prathiban four for 46). Kancheepuram advanced through first innings lead .
At Tiruvallur: Tiruvallur 384 for nine & 57 for one in 12 overs drew with Dindigul 92 in 57.4 overs (K. Thanga Pandian 27, M. Poiyamozhi three for 30, R. Amith Singh five for 11). Tiruvallur made it to the semifinal on first-innings lead .
