Shiv Sena MLA and party spokesperson, Neelam Gorhe, slammed BJP leaders and said that instead of talking about a separate Vidarbha, the BJP should give justice to the Marathi-speaking people living in Karnataka. Gorhe was speaking to mediapersons yesterday before Sena chief, Uddhav Thackeray’s public rally in Pune today.

“Their (BJP) leaders talk about a separate Vidarbha, however they never cleared their stand on Samyukta Maharashtra,” Gorhe said. She asked whether BJP would give justice to the Marathi-speaking people in Yellur. Karnataka police took action against them for re-installing a Marathi signboard, which was removed by the police, in the month of July this year.

Gorhe alleged that BJP leaders have become arrogant since they gained power at the centre. “However, we are capable of getting rid of their arrogance by winning the majority of votes in upcoming state assembly elections,” said Gorhe.

The Sena leader claimed that although the five political parties (BJP, Shiv Sena, Congress, NCP and MNS) would be contesting the upcoming state assembly elections separately, the real fight would be between Sena and BJP.
