Good genes: Melanie Griffith and Tippi Hedren heat up red carpet

Like mother, like daughter.

A beaming Melanie Griffith joined her mother Tippi Hedren at the seventh annual Bel-Air Film Festival on Tuesday.

The “Working Girl” star, 57, was on hand to present the elder actress, 84, with the festival’s Life Time Achievement Award for her career in film.

Hedren’s best known role was in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 film, “The Birds.”

Griffith was all smiles at the event, wearing a modest red dress that covered up her famous “Antonio” tattoo.

In June, the actress and estranged husband Antonio Banderas announced that they were splitting up after 18 years of marriage.

The acting bug runs strong in the family bloodline. Griffith’s daughter Dakota Johnson is the star of the eagerly anticipated “50 Shades of Grey” adaptation.
