SURAT: Police registered a complaint against Shehnaz Hilluwala, founder and head of Hills Nursery, for allegedly ill-treating and hurting three-year-old children of the nursery. Hilluwala was taken to police station for questioning on Tuesday following protest by parents at Nanpura and Sagarampura nursery units. Hilluwala told police that she did not hurt the children intentionally and had realized her mistake after watching the video.
Hilluwala was allowed to go after questioning. Pooja Sarang, a parent, who registered the complaint, claimed that she had ill-treated and hurt the children in Nanpura branch.
"We require court permission for arresting her," said A H Rajput, police inspector, Athwa police station. A controversy erupted after the video that was shot 10 days ago by a parent was released in the social media. Hilluwala is seen allegedly dragging a three-year-old girl by her ponytail. She is also seen pushing and dragging children while making them practice for an act. Hilluwala had apologized for the misconduct on Sunday.
