So I was amazed when he told me that, while I'd been toiling away at work, he'd sat himself down and played an amazing match. Amazing... Seems that it's not just the graphics which EA have polished up for the next generation of consoles. In fact, Fifa 15 is a staggeringly polished step forward for the beautiful game. The players now have "memories", so they show emotion based on the context of the match. The downside to this being that as well as huge goal celebrations, this can also spawn spontaneous scraps if something happens they don't like on the pitch. Don't feel like playing as a team, then select a single player to control. The staggeringly improved AI means your teammates and opponents will now recognise what's happening in the match and adjust their tactics accordingly. Stunning pre-match presentations, beautifully bundled replay packages and more game modes than you can shake a stick at bundled in with a whole host of new animations, lighting effects and supped up crowd AI, means it really does feel like you're there. Will it be enough to convert Mr M into a footy fan? Only time will tell... Rating .....
