Wichita County, Texas Purchases the Hart Voting System

Wichita County Commissioners voted to purchase the Hart Voting System (HVS) from Hart InterCivic. Hart InterCivic is a leading national provider of election management and voting systems and has sold the Hart Voting System to Wichita County following the county’s recent purchase of Hart’s ePollBook and Absentee Processing System (APS). The Hart Voting System replaces the county’s current outdated voting equipment; the purchase includes 210 new voting machines. Wichita County will join Hart’s valued customer base in the State of Texas.

Wichita County plans to make the transition to vote centers in the near future. By selecting the Hart Voting System the county will no longer be required to print paper provisional ballots for every ballot style. The integration between Hart’s ePollBook and the Hart Voting System will automate the ballot style selection process for Early Voting and vote center scenarios. The Hart Voting System eliminates the need for calibration and poll workers are no longer required to escort every voter to the booth. Poll opening and closing procedures are also greatly simplified.
