Ladakh MP visits border areas, assures people of overall development

JAMMU, Oct 6: Member Parliament (MP) Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang visited border villages of Durbuk Sub-Division namely Mukleb, Lukung-Yurgo-Phobrang, Spangmik, Maan, Merak, Khaktet and Chushul villages and assured the people of overall development of their villages.
MP interacted with the residents of respective villages and listened to their grievances.
People of all villages apprised MP about the failure of solar power projects planted by LREDA in all villages for which MP has assured the people to take up the matter with concerned authority and give an appropriate result sooner.
On behalf of the people, Councillor Chushul demanded grant of LAC certificate to the border living people of Changthang.
President BJP Chering Dorjay assured for proper developments in Lalok region.
Later, MP also toured Rong-Churgyud belt and visited Hemnya, khatpu, Tarchit, Tukla Phu, Thukla, Liktse, Yeek, Upshi villages and Upshi Market of the belt. On his tour he interacted with all villagers and took assessments of developmental status.
People and leaders of Rong belt raised their main demands regarding CD Block headquarter, installation of mobile towers in Rong area, upgradation of Medical Aids Centers to Primary Health Center, opening of veterinary centers, installation of DSPT and funds for construction and upgradation of link roads and bridges.
MP assured to stand with common people of the Rong-Churgyud regarding the settlement of CD Block headquarter at the most suitable place.
The MP was accompanied by Dorjay Mutup, Councilor LAHDC Leh, Konchok Stanzin, President and Tashi Yakzee, BJP general secretary, Durbuk Sub Division.
