The alumni of six Delhi University colleges will discuss the achievements-or the lack of them- of the Indian bureaucracy at the Titans Cup Debate to be held on October 8.

NEW DELHI: The alumni of six Delhi University colleges will discuss the achievements-or the lack of them- of the Indian bureaucracy at the Titans Cup Debate to be held on October 8. The Old Students' Association, Hindu College, is organizing the event which will involve alumni of Hindu, St Stephens, Lady Shri Ram College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Miranda House and Indraprastha College. The debate will be presented by The Times of India.
Anil Goswami, union home secretary, with be the chief guest and Justice Mukul Mudgal, Justice Leila Seth and economist Devki Jain will judge the debate.
There will be two alumni per college. Practising advocate at the chambers of the additional solicitor general for India, Chanan Parwani, and associate executive officer at United Nations (UNESCO MGIEP), Nabila Jamshed, will represent Lady Shri Ram College.
The first woman chairperson of Coal India, Zohra Chatterji, and actor Swara Bhaskar (Tanu weds Manu, Chillar Party, Raanjhanaa) will represent Miranda House. The youngest lot will be from SRCC. Management consultant Pranay Bery and Sharan Godya, who works with a sports channel, are the only ones in the line-up to have graduated in the new millennium-Bery last year and Godya in 2011.
The team from Hindu includes former IAS officer Pradeep Puri and Central Information Commissioner Yashovardhan Azad while the one from St. Stephen's consists of writer-diplomat Pavan Varma and journalist and political commentator Swapan Dasgupta. IP College will be represented by activist Aruna Roy and retired member secretary, National Commission of Population, Planning Commission, Krishna Singh.
