KUWAIT, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has set the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), notably propane and butane, for the month of October.
The price of propane hits USD 735 pet metric ton in October against USD 745 in September, the KPC said in a statement on Monday.
The price of butane amounts to USD 765 per metric ton in October compared from USD 785 per metric ton in September, it added.
Propane and butane are used in petrochemical industries, cooking oil, and heating among other uses.
The prices of these gases are affected by oil prices in international markets, along with the exchange rate of the US dollar against the main currencies, geopolitical factors, natural disasters, and economic crises. (end) fnk.mt
