Multi-lingual poetic meet on moral values

JAMMU, Oct 5: In connection with the ‘International Week on Morality’, Vichar Kranti Manch International organised a multi-lingual poetic meet on moral values here today.
The programme was held in association with Adbi Kunj, Samooh Theatre, Navi Dogri Sanstha and Rashtriya Bhasha Parchar Samiti at K L Sehgal Hall of the Cultural Academy here. Noted writer and poet Prof Lalit Mangotra was the chief guest while Prof B. Labh, HoD Jammu University, the guest of honour on the occasion.
The function commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest followed by address by Ram Gopal Sharma, vice president, VKMI, who explained about the activities and achievements of the Vichar Kranti Manch International. Bharat Bhushan, general secretary, Rashtriya Bhasha Parchar Samiti also explained about the activities of his organization.
Prof Mangotra appreciated the activities undertaken by the Vichar Kranti Manch Intl and its associates. Prof Labh explained about the social evils in the society, especially in the youth and students and measures to eradicate the same. Prominent poets who participated in the programme included –Sham Talib, Tayab Bharti, Baljeet Raina, Rahat Hussain, Rajeshwar Bhakhri, Sanjeev Bhasin, Arsh Om Dalmotra, N S Kamra, Ashok Muntik, Sushil Begana, Yash Paul Yash, Santosh Naadan, Sikandra Jain, Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Prof S P Wadhera, Amita Mehta and Shreyansh Kumar Jain.
Chander Mohan Sharma, general secretary VKMI conducted the programme while Dr Usha Tickoo, senior vice president VKMI, presented vote of thanks.
