Namakkal: Three people were arrested by Belukuruchi police on Saturday after they allegedly set ablaze seven private vehicles including five buses in a school in Namakkal district. The incident took place in Kalaimagal Matriculation Higher Secondary school, a little past midnight on Thursday.
P Natesan, 45, Arun Kumar, 38, and V Kailasam,52, of Belukuruchi in Namakkal district were the managing trustees of that school, when it was started in 1984.

Around 12.45 am, present chairman of the school Duraimurugan got the news that the school buses had been set ablaze by some unknown miscreants. He immediately alerted Rasipuram DSP P Raju and Belukuruchi police inspector V Srinivasan who rushed to the spot with fire and rescue service personnel from Rasipuram.
During investigation, they came to know that Natesan, Arun Kumar and Kailasam were involved in the case. "The trio has confessed to their crime. We have arrested them and remanded in judicial custody on Saturday evening," police said.
The school was started in 1984 in Kalkuruchi near Belukuruchi in Puduchatram taluk in Namakkal district. Seventeen partners got together to start the school. Soon differences cropped up among the partners and in 2004, they split up into two groups. Duraimurugan headed one group while the other was headed by Natesan, police said. Both groups filed four cases in the Namakkal sub-court in connection with their dispute the same year. After hearing both sides, the Court ordered Natesan to keep out of the school management and allowed Duraimurugan to run the school, police said. TNN
