He didn’t score on his first pass.
Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara met Pilar Davis at a Manhattan nightclub three years ago and didn’t tell his future wife — who’s now become the team’s get-lucky charm — what he does for a living.
“All I told her was, ‘I just moved here from Arizona, and I’m trying to live right,’ ’’ he told Muscle & Fitness magazine. At first she brushed him off — but at the urging of his teammates, Amukamara tried again — and this time didn’t fumble.
The two began exchanging e-mails — and soon were dating.
Amukamara, 25, doesn’t drink, is a devout Catholic — and had vowed to stay a virgin as long as he was single.
They tied the knot last March and didn’t consummate the marriage until they said, “I do.”
Since then, it’s been opposing teams that have had trouble scoring.
Big Blue teammates have credited Amukamara’s recent stellar play — two interceptions and 25 tackles through four games — on his bedroom touchdowns with his beautiful wife.
“I think it all ties into one another, as far as him getting married, being able to [have sex],” teammate Antrel Rolle has told The Post.
“For a man, that could definitely help him out,’’ Rolle added. “It’s helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love.”
Amukamara staged an elaborate proposal in July 2013 at a performance of the hip-hop dance crew the Jabbawockeez in Las Vegas.
He arranged for the pretty, petite Pilar to be pulled on stage during the show.
Then the former All-American donned a mask and joined the dancers before breaking away and getting down on one knee in front of his beloved to pop the question.

She said yes, and the two were married at the Phoenix Musical Instrument Museum, as tears streamed from his eyes.
Amukamara, who was born in Massachusetts but descends from Nigerian royalty, told her he played for the Giants two days after they met.
But the Sacramento native was so clueless about sports, she thought her new boyfriend played for the San Francisco baseball team.
“That’s when I thought she might be a keeper,” he remembered.
