HYDERABAD, Oct 4:
Two brilliant centuries by A Akash (102) and Ahmed Quadri (113) went in vain as Hyderabad Rest XI finished second best against M L Jaisimha and lost the HCA senior zonals cricket tournament match by 46 runs here today.
Batting first, ML Jaisimha made 410, thanks to Vamshii Vardhan Reddi (164) and J Anshul Lal (88) who negated the impact of Akash Bhandari’s five for 132.
The Rest XI was in the hunt till their main century makers were at the crease. Amol Shinde’s 5/125 titled the scales and ensured Jaisimha’s victory.
Meanwhile, SA Amberpet defeated CCOB by 49 runs in the A Division two-day league match.
