Baburao Naidu opened sealed tenders for transport of sand at the DRDA office
It would costs Rs 90 per km for a vehicle with the load of 15 tonnes and Rs 70 per km for 10 tonnes load.
Eluru: West Godavari would make arrangements to ensure supply of sand at relatively low price to the people. Joint Collector T. Baburao Naidu opened sealed tenders in the presence of owners of lorries, tractors and boats for transport of sand from 17 sand reaches at the DRDA office.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that they would arrange vehicles for transport of sand. When he asked the lorry owners to disclose as to how much they would charge for transport of sand, they informed that it would costs Rs 90 per km for a vehicle with the load of 15 tonnes and Rs 70 per km for 10 tonnes load.
