Nine-day long Navratra festival culminates with immersion of Saakh

JAMMU, Oct 3: The nine-day long Navratra festival culminated with Kanjak Poojan and immersion of Saakh in various rivers across the Jammu region on the occasion of Mahanavami today.
There was heavy rush of devotees near Bikram Chowk and Harkipori here with hundreds of devotees waiting for immersion of Saakh in the river.
Rush of devotees busy in immersion of Saakh was also witnessed at the banks of Ranbir Canal at different places right from Akhnoor to canal Jammu and river Chander Bagaha (Chenab) at Akhnoor for the entire day.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Mahanavami a langer was organized near Krishana building by New Plot Market Association in which Prashad was served to devotees.
BJP State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, along with Market Association president Ankush Sharma, general secretary Dharam Vir Singh, vice president Dalip Pandoh and others served the langer to people.
The nine -day long spiritual activity also culminated at Bhagawaan Gopinathji Ashram Udhaywalla Bohri near here today.
Hundreds of devotees thronged the Ashram from first Navratra to last Navratra and participated in spiritual activities in a spirit of true devotion and humility from 4-30 am to 7-30 am daily during Navratra days to invoke the blessings of Mother Goddess.
During nine days Hawan was held which actually started on September 24 and Puranahuti was performed today afternoon. Prashad was served to devotees on the culmination of function. The devotees also paid obeisance to Bhagawaan Ji and prayed for universal peace.
The nine -day long function also culminated at Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsangh Ashram Muthi with immersion of holy Saakh. During the culminating function, KPC president Kundan Kashmiri was the chief guest. A hawan was also held in the Ashram and devotees were served with Prashad after Puranahuti. Swami Kumar Ji gave religious discourses highlighting the significance of all nine days of Navratra.
Navratra festival also culminated at Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram Jammu and Najafgarh, Delhi. During the nine days Satsang and religious discourses were held and after the culmination of celebrations today immersion ceremony of Mata was performed which was followed by hoisting of Flag in the Ashram by Swami Kumar Ji.
Mahanavami was also celebrated at Swami Nand Bab Ashram Lalay Da Bagh near here. On the occasion, a Maha Yagya was performed and a large number of devotees attended the function to seek blessings of Swami Ji. Bhajan Kirtan was also held in the Ashram and devotees were served with prashad.
The nine-day long Navratra festival celebrations also culminated at Sharika Peeth Subash Nagar with solemnization of a Maha Yagya which was followed by serving of prashad to devotees. A special prayer was held for the world peace and prosperity. The president of the Sabha M K Jalalai threw light on significance of the Navratra festival.
