Manchester United starlet Angelo Henriquez admits he would be open to making his loan deal at Dinamo Zagreb a permanent stay next summer.

The 20-year-old forward was one of seven players to leave Old Trafford on loan this summer as Louis van Gaal made sweeping changes to the United squad.

With Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney and James Wilson ahead of Henriquez in the pecking order, Croatian giants Dinamo Zagreb jumped at the opportunity to take on the youngster, who admits he would consider staying on at the club once his loan deal expires.

"I heard something about this, but I honestly don't know what to say about it," Henriquez said when asked of a possible permanent switch.

"Should I wait for the end of the season and draw the line and see where we are?

"Basically, I would not mind staying in Dinamo because it is a great club and if things go well I would love to stay here after the expiry of the loan."

Henriquez arrived at Old Trafford in 2012 but has yet to make a first team appearance for the club. Loan spells at Wigan Athletic followed by another with Real Zaragoza have provided him opportunities to impress but the striker is aware he must make the most of his time in Zagreb in order to win over United coaches who are keeping track of him.

"I don't think it is a backwards step in my career [joining Dinamo] but a good chance to play and get experience of European football," he added.

"Dinamo is a special challenge for me because I know the club aspires to be the best in Croatia and that will help me achieve my goal.

"I have constant contact with people from Manchester United. Not van Gaal, but people from Carrington, the coaches. They want to know every detail – from the intensity of training here, diet, life in Zagreb. With that amount of care for a year, I know I am still being followed by United."
