Civil hospital upgrade, skill development centres on Congress manifesto

The Congress on Wednesday promised to upgrade the civil hospital to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) and assured skills development as well as information and technology centres.

PANCHKULA: The Congress on Wednesday promised to upgrade the civil hospital to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) and assured skills development as well as information and technology centres.
As it released its manifesto, the Congress said it would develop Panchkula, besides Faridabad and Gurgaon, as a clean and green city.
Congress manifesto committee chairman Ram Parkash said under the university for each district programme, the government has already identified and acquired 600 acres on the outskirts of Panchkula.

"We have started delivering ahead of elections. Besides, we have also got National Institute of Fashion Designing for the city,'' MLA D K Bansal, who is seeking re-election from Panchkula, said.
