Yet another “Fraud Stewart” has emerged — and this one is the genuine “Rockaway Rod.”

After the real Rod Stewart‘s manager, Arnold Stiefel, told us that there’s been a series of imposters in New York and Miami signing autographs, fooling fans and posing for pictures, we’ve been inundated with Faux-Rod reports.

But James Monahan, a 60-year-old retired Rockaway Beach mailman, says, though he is a look-alike, he has never posed as the singer to fool anybody.

Dad-of-two Monahan said, “They call me Rockaway Rod. I get my haircut just like Rod and I’ve been following him since the 1970s.

If I had five dollars for every time someone asked me for a photo thinking I was him, I’d be a rich man. I’ve made a few hundred dollars impersonating him at a few events, and I’ll get up in a bar and sing ‘Maggie May’ after a few beers, but I don’t go around getting the girls or free drinks.

He added, “I delivered the mail for 30 years and people would say, ‘Holy bleep, Rod Stewart is a mailman now?'”
