FLORENTINE FELLOW: Following the opening of its first flagship on Paris’ Rue Saint Honoré last July, Italian luxury leather goods brand Gianfranco Lotti is debuting a unit in Florence on Thursday.
Located on the city’s Via de’ Tornabuoni, the two-story boutique spans over 1,808 square feet and carries the brand’s complete offering, including bags, small leather goods, gloves, textile items, men’s and women’s belts, along with a capsule of cashmere accessories.
In addition, the Florentine flagship also offers the exclusive “One Piece Only” service, allowing customers to meet a leather artisan to order a completely customized bag. The brand also plans to open its first two stores in China by early 2015, as well as a flagship in Milan during the second half of next year.
In September 2013, German investment fund Halder took control of Gianfranco Lotti’s parent company Bottega Manifatturiera Borse, which is based in Florence.
