Chaz & AJ Replace Stolen Charity Money
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, October 1, 2014 |
In Bloomfield, CT, 1029 DRC, 991 PLR and 959 the FOX morning show hosts Chaz and AJ helped replace $800 dollars in charity money that was stolen from the Thomas Hooker Brewery. The brewery, which was raising money for the Village for Families and Children, had a donation jar full of cash stolen by a man who reportedly threw a piece of concrete through the window and grabbed the jar.
After hearing about the story, Chaz & AJ took to the airwaves to ask listeners to help by donating. They did -- to the tune of $2,500!
"This audience continues to prove that they care about our community and want to help those in need," said Chaz. "It is no surprise to me that we were able to raise this much money in less than 30 minutes."
Chaz and AJ in the Morning are heard on Connoisseur Media owned: Hartford based Classic Hits WDRC, New Haven based Mainstream Rock WPLR, and Stamford/Norwalk based Classic Hits WFOX.
