• Renault D 15 FPT, Euro 6 according to NFS 61-515 or EN 1846
  • Original twin cab with robust aluminum sandwich construction
  • Development, production, service - top quality from a single source

Rosenbauer, the world's leading fire fighting equipment supplier, is presenting a tank firefighting vehicle (FPTM) on a Renault truck for the first time at the Fire Brigade Congress in Avignon, France. Built on the Midlum successor, the D15 corresponds to both EN 1846 as well as all aspects of the French fire department standard NFS 61-515. The vehicle is powered by an environmentally friendly Euro 6 engine with 280 hp including Optitronic gearboxes for precise gear changes and rapid stroke. The original Renault crew cab offers space for six people. Four seats are equipped with SCBA holders. Additional bottles and the SCBA unit for the driver and front passenger are stored in the body.

Maximum variability
The chassis from France, the body and the firefighting equipment from Austria - with this combination fire departments have an ideal solution and options to choose from within the French standards. Rosenbauer aluminum sandwich superstructures stands for uncompromising quality, unrivaled service life and maximum variability. They are manufactured industrially and therefore ensure the highest accuracy, strength and capacity. The COMFORT stowage system enables optimum space usage as well as fast and safe removal of equipment.

The interior of the body can be individually designed and can also be easily converted later on. The COMFORT modular stowage system provides shelves, transverse panels, extensions, rotating compartments, device and heavy duty carriers as well as numerous further built-in components that are compatible with each another. In the exhibition vehicle there is, for example, a transfer hatch from equipment compartment 1 to equipment compartment 4 to be able to remove the stowed folded hoses from both sides of the vehicle.

Premier quality firefighting system
Firefighting pump, proportioning system, extinguishing agent tank and rapid attack for Rosenbauer are always compatible with one another and build a fire fighting system that is trimmed for efficiency. Optional safety devices such as overheat protection, cavitation alarm, pump pressure governor etc. can also be added to this.

In the new TLF for France, a pump with 2,000 l/min performance works together with a newly adapted pressure proportioner. This is designed for continuous foam proportioning between 0.1 and 6% and enables an extremely economical use of the additive in wetting agent operation. For output, a manual pull-out rapid attack unit is built onto the rear next to the pressure outlets. In addition, two drivable 200 m hose reels can be unwound.

Rosenbauer firefighting equipment works completely automatically and reliability for years. There are hundreds of firefighting vehicles on the roads in France today in which an Austrian firefighting equipment heart beats.

Intuitive operation, safe working
The firefighting equipment is operated via the Rosenbauer Logic Control System LCS 2.0 (CAN-Bus technology) from the pump operator panel as well as from the driving compartment. The displays also inform about tank contents, open equipment compartments, lighting systems and signal units. It is also possible to connect a rear-view camera and thermal imaging camera.

By highlighting the main control elements, the firefighting equipment can be intuitively operated immediately even by untrained personnel. The same applies for the manipulation of the stowed equipment: a uniform color concept - including openers, handles, locks and latches painted orange - support the crew in loading and removal, so that everything works just right. Continuous folding steps, even on the wheels on both sides of the body, ensure ergonomically optimum removal heights, while the LED lighting concept provides optimum lighting conditions in the body and around the vehicle.

Standardized vehicle fleet grows
Alongside the new tank firefighting vehicle, Rosenbauer presents another new vehicle according to NFS 61-515 in Avignon: the small firefighting vehicle (FIL) with Rosenbauer crew cab and firefighting equipment. At the trade show you can also see: a (EPC) L32A-XS aerial ladder with new articulating boom, an L32 aerial ladder with narrow width, both built according to NFS 61-552 or EN 14043 as well as - at Scania's stand - a B32 hydraulic platform in accordance with NFS 61-550 or EN 1777. Together with the forest firefighting vehicle (CCFM) presented for the first time the previous year, French fire departments now have three standardized types of municipal fire fighting vehicles and two types of hydraulic platforms at their disposal. In addition, Rosenbauer supplies the country's largest airports with ARFF vehicles of varying size and performance, including the new PANTHER-S (VIM 90 P2.5).
