United set to raid Juventus

Cape Town - Manchester United are set to tempt Juventus into parting with a centre back and a long term midfield target by offering £51 million for the pair.

According to the Metro, Manchester United want to bring in Angelo Ogbonna and Arturo Vidal in January.

Vidal has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford before concerns regarding a persistant knee injury scuppered a deal in the summer.

Ogbonna, a hard-tackling centre back, was on the radar for United during Sir Alex Ferguson's reign at the club.

Reports in Italy suggest that Louis van Gaal wants to submit the bid before the January window opens so that the players can make the move on January 1.
