Achche din for DP Yadav: Neelam Katara on Amit Shah sharing stage with don
Yadav on Tuesday called the BJP president Amit Shah his "friend" and said that he might "definitely" join the party as he toured with Shah in poll-bound Haryana.
Neelam Katara, mother of Nitish Katara, on Wednesday expressed her anger over BJP chief Amit Shah sharing the stage with mafia don-turned-poltician DP Yadav at a rally in Haryana on Tuesday.
Yadav on Tuesday called the BJP president Amit Shah his "friend" and said that he might "definitely" join the party as he toured with Shah in poll-bound Haryana.
DP Yadav is the father of Vikas Yadav, who was convicted in the Nitish Katara and Jessica Lall murder cases. He was inducted into the BJP on February 20, 2004, but his membership was terminated after only four days following a hue and cry over his criminal antecedents.
"If people like DP Yadav have ache din ahead of him, then I wonder what is in store for the rest of us," Neelam Katara said, adding, "Anyone who cares for his mother will stand by me."
Nitish Katara, a business executive and son of an IAS officer, was abducted and killed in February, 2002 by Vikas Yadav and his accomplices Vishal and Sukhdev Pehalwan as they did not approve of his relations with Vikas's sister, Bharti, because they belonged to different castes.
The three killers are currently serving life term while Neelam Katara has sought death penalty or an enhanced life sentence for them.
