Dolce & Gabbana Launches Capsule Collection Of Exotic Skins

This article is more than 9 years old.

Right after its recently concluded Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 presentation, Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana adds a new range of compact handbags to its leather goods repertoire. The limited edition Mix Sicily capsule  collection, is a play on the brand its signature Miss Sicily bag, and part of the brand its Fall/Winter 2014 accessories line.

This collection of handbags further emphasises the label its ongoing love affair with mixing and matching fabrics, throughout its nearly 30-year ready-to-wear history.  The 20 x 16 x 8 cm bags are defined by their mix of materials in a single piece. This mixing and matching sees the use of calf hide, combined with more exotic leathers such as crocodile and python. The internal linings are made of colourful satins.

It isn't the first time for the designer duo to release a capsule collection under the same name, as earlier this year another Mix Sicily capsule collection was released, as part of the brand its Spring/Summer 2014 stock. This time however, the made in Italy luxury goods come in a quirky, exclusively pastel color palette.
