The dissolved committees would be reconstituted by December 30, 2014, Choudhary said here on Tuesday.
Earlier Congress general secretary in charge of party affairs in Bihar P C Joshi sent an email to Choudhary. It reads, “I am glad to inform you that Congress president has approved your proposal to reconstitute all BCCs, DCCs and the PCC. Dissolve all the committees and take required action.”
Choudhary also released a list of seven spokespersons authorized to interact with the media on behalf of the state Congress till the reconstitution of PCC. The new spokespersons are H K Verma, former MLA Harkhu Jha, Sarwat Jahan Fatema, Suman Kumar Mullick, Vinod Sharma, Vinod Yadav alias Rajoo Yadav and Ranjit Mishra. Former BPCC vice-president Prem Chandra Mishra, who used to head the media department and panel of spokespersons, is not on the new panel of spokespersons.
The last 218-member PCC was constituted on November 22, 2013. Asked why the PCC, which was constituted by Choudhary himself, was dissolved in 10 months, the state Congress president said performance of various office-bearers was being reviewed at different levels.
Choudhary also said the party recently appointed observers for membership drive in each district. These observers would now look into day-to-day affairs of the Congress in their respective districts till the reconstitution of the DCCs.
