Sheffield Wednesday striker Stevie May has received his first call-up to the senior Scotland squad.

The 21-year-old has been included in Gordon Strachan's 27-man squad for next month's Euro 2016 qualifying double-header against Georgia and Poland.

May, who joined the Owls from St Johnstone in August for an undisclosed fee, has made eight appearances for Scotland Under-21s.

He played in the Under-21s' 3-0 win against Luxembourg in their Euro 2015 qualifying campaign earlier this month.

Scotland's senior side are scheduled to play Georgia at Ibrox on Saturday, October 11 and Poland in Warsaw the following Tuesday.

May has scored three goals in eight Sky Bet Championship appearances for the Owls this season.
