Top chef Jamie Oliver stirs pot with Gordon Ramsay remark

Don’t ever invite rival British TV chefs Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay to the same picnic — the food will definitely go flying.

The two, it seems, do not get along.

Oliver, in New York for an appearance at Advertising Week as part of his effort to promote his YouTube channels — Drinks Tube and Food Tube — let it be known that the two are not the best of friends.

That tidbit was spoken when Oliver was asked if he would ever have Ramsay on one of his shows.

“We don’t get along particularly well,” he said.

They’re not alone.

YouTube millionaire Laura Vitale, on the Advertising Week panel with Oliver, said she was shunned by other online stars declining to have her star in their shows.

Can’t they all just get along?

Vitale, who has 1.34 million subscribers to her YouTube channel, “Laura in the Kitchen,” and who just premiered her first show on Scripps’ Cooking Channel, said, “I heard ‘I don’t want to share my viewers with you.’ A lot of the people turned me down and I said, I’m fine growing it [the channel] on my own. I had a very hard time with people who didn’t want to share.”

Separately, Oliver told attendees at the event that he’s prepping for the launch of a new destination called “BoobTube.” Before the crowd got too excited, he explained it’s a destination for new parents looking for advice on feeding babies and very young children.
