Kolkata: President Pranab Mukherjee arrived at the NSC Bose International Airport here on Tuesday.
He was received at the Airport by West Bengal Governor Kesri Nath Tripathy and other senior officials.
After his arrival here, the President left by helicopter for Kirnahar.
The President is on a visit to Kirnahar and Mirati (his native village) in West Bengal from September 30 to October 3.
Mukherjee will perform puja and will meet the local people.
On October 2, the President will pay floral tributes at the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, at Kirnahar Shib Chandra High School. He will also mark the day by flagging off children squads belonging to the school on 'Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan' cleanliness drive.
