Dr Harish Chandra died of hanging: autopsy

A day after 58-year-old doctor body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his house in Greater Noida's Gautam Budh University, on Sunday, the Greater Noida police said that the autopsy report suggests cause of death is hanging and no resistance occurred in the report. The police said that the deceased family is reeling under mental trauma so from Monday, the police thoroughly question family. The police have also planned to seek help of hand writing experts team to establish that the two pages suicide note was written by him or not.

NOIDA : A day after 58-year-old doctor body was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his house in Greater Noida's Gautam Budh University, on Sunday, the Greater Noida police said that the autopsy report suggests cause of death is hanging and no resistance occurred in the report. The police said that the deceased family is reeling under mental trauma so from Monday, the police thoroughly question family.
The police have also planned to seek help of hand writing experts team to establish that the two pages suicide note was written by him or not. The police said in his suicide note he cited that due to personal reasons he is taking extreme step. The deceased in the suicide note said that do question my family for my death.
Kasna police station in charge Samarjeet Singh said, “Dr Harish Chandra’s post mortem report suggest that he died of hanging and no resistance appeared in the autopsy report.”
Gautambudh Nagar senior superintendent said that in a brief discussion, the family has ruled out any personal enmity or work pressure on the deceased. “We could not thoroughly question the family. A team of senior officials was dispatched at the deceased’s residence. So far we have not received even any complaint from the family and no FIR has been lodged into the matter,” Singh said on Friday late night the deceased was watching television with his daughter and son in law and later he had gone to his room for sleeping.
Superintendent of police (rural) Brijesh Kumar Singh said that the deceased in his two pages suicide note has said that no one is responsible for his death and he took extreme step due to his personal problem. “The note has been written in Hindi language in which he has written to not to disturb his family following my death. We have seized the suicide note. We will seek help of handwriting experts to establish that the note was written by him or not,” Singh said.
“Following the incident the family is in mental trauma. On Monday a police team will question to gain some lead in the case,” he added.
Dr Chandra, a senior radiologist at Kanshiram Hospital in Greater Noida. “It is said that recently an ultrasound machine was bought by the hospital. The cost of the normal ultrasound machine was Rs four and five lakh however bill of Rs 25 lakh was presented for the machine. We are also probing this matter that the matter was linked with the deceased’s death or not,” he said.
Both SSP Preetinder Singh and SP (rural) Brijesh Singh did not confirm that Dr Chandra was associated with NHRM scam or not.
