After scoring a valuable 76*, Manish Pandey was thrilled to help Kolkata Knight Riders clinch their 4th straight win of CLT20, 2014.

"I started playing my shots freely when I was batting on 40 and the sixes and the boundaries I got from there on were pretty good. I was confident enough to clear the boundaries and it was a good experience in the middle," he said, talking to clt20.com

"The plan was for me to try and be at the wicket as much as possible. I know if I stick around at the wicket for a long time I can play my strokes, which come off pretty well for me," he added.

Along with another mate from Karnataka - Robin Uthappa - Pandey added and unbeaten 153 for the 3rd wicket and broke the record for the highest ever partnership in CLT20 history.

"We have been playing together for quite some time now and I know his game pretty well. It was good to see that we could get the team to a good total. I had to go for my shots sometimes and there were times when he was playing his shots, which is the reason we got to that total on the board," said Pandey.

KKR have won 13 games on the trot and Pandey was also pumped up for the semi-final.

"This is the business end of the tournament and we have to think about it positively. We would be thinking about all the aspects of the game before that crucial game. We would definitely want to keep winning," he finished.
