Bruce Carter out with quad injury

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys starting outside linebacker Bruce Carter left Sunday night's game against the New Orleans Saints after suffering a quadriceps injury early in the fourth quarter.

Carter suffered the injury as he was pursuing New Orleans Saints running back Khiry Robinson on a 62-yard run. Carter looked like he was about to tackle Robinson on the sideline before going down suddenly.

Carter, a fourth-year veteran, has been performing well this season. He had a key interception return for a touchdown in last Sunday's victory over the St. Louis Rams. On Sunday, he had a team-high six tackles and two passes defensed, one of which was intercepted by linebacker Justin Durant after being tipped by Carter, before being injured against the Saints.
