Stella McCartney stuck to her relaxed roots for her Spring/Summer 15 collection.

The British fashion designer presented as part of Paris Fashion Week this morning and sent a range of floaty, loose-fitting pieces down the runway in a classically muted palette.

There were lots of different ensembles on offer, from a pale blue sleeveless midi dress worn with matching sandals to a slightly more colourful mini dress that resembled a butterfly's wings at the front.

Silk was a heavily featured material and gave a sophisticated feel to the line as well as an extra shimmer as models walked down the catwalk. Denim also made an appearance in the form of a long-sleeved jumpsuit with three-quarter-length flared trousers.

Not everything looked suitable to wear out though, as one girl strutted in a matching shirt and trousers which resembled pyjamas with its blue, red and yellow plaid pattern.

Keeping up with the less-is-more theme, models wore barely-there make-up and their hair styled into a ponytail with a slight side parting. Some wore necklaces to accessorise, while others simply let the clothes do all the talking.

Sacai on the other hand went for a collection full of bold patterns and a mixture of materials for its new range. Green appeared to be the favourite colour of creative director Daisuke Gemma and different shades of the tone were used throughout, such as an olive sleeveless trench coat and a brighter leather waistcoat worn over a fluffy faux fur piece which looked like a scarf.

However it wasn't all heavy pieces, other ensembles looked fit for the warmer weather such as colourful patterned trousers with an equally head-turning top worn underneath a short-sleeved black cardigan.

To ensure all attention was on the designs models had their hair tucked behind their ears and worn down and straight with very little make-up on their faces.

Shows continue today in the French capital, which will see the likes of Giambattista Valli and Elie Saab unveiling their new collections.
