Three killed in road accident

Two people were killed on the spot while one succumbed on the way to hospital in a road accident in Wardhannapet mandal that took place in the early hours of Monday.

B Someswar and his associates Manohar, P Raj and driver Nagabushanam were coming from Mandapet near Rajahmundry. They were proceeding to Mancherial. Between 4 and 5 am, the driver of Bolero in which they were travelling rammed into a stationery lorry carrying a huge granite stone. Driver Nagabhushanam and P Raj died on the spot while B Someswar Rao died while being shifted to hospital. Manohar was reported to be out of danger.

The incident took place near Wardhannapet police station. The victims were working at Genco plant at Mancherial.
