Man stabbed in neck near rail yard

A man was stabbed in the neck off of Park Street in Framingham on Sunday evening, police said. The man, believed to be in his 30s, appeared to have been in some sort of altercation when he was stabbed shortly after 5 p.m., said Framingham Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Burns. The man was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, but Burns said he expects the victim will survive. The man was stabbed “in a section we call the weeds,” said Burns, “which is an area where homeless people gather.” Burns said the area was adjacent to the CSX rail yard. No further information was immediately available.
