Car accident: TSUTF secretary injured, wife killed

Telangana State United Teachers Federation TSUTF secretary N. Narayana was injured, and wife killed in accident at Muthyalammagudem village in Nalgonda District on Sunday.

Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF), honorary secretary N. Narayana’s wife Amritha was killed in a road accident and Narayana also suffered serious injuries here on Sunday morning.

According to Police, Narayana (57), who was at the wheel, along with Amritha (50), was proceeding towards Khammam from Hyderabad early in the morning. Mr. Narayana lost control and hit his car to a culvert at Muthyalammagudem village of Kattangur mandal on NH-65.

The accident occurred very close to Kattangur police station. The locals and police shifted the seriously wounded couple to Kamineni Hospital, Narketpally where Amritha died while undergoing treatment. Mr. Naryana has been shifted to Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad as his condition turned critical in the afternoon. Amritha’s body was shifted to their native village Peddabeeravalli in Bonakal mandal in Khammam district to perform the last rites.

The TSUTF, Nalgonda division leaders have expressed grief and condolences to bereaved family members of Amritha on h er sudden demise. A case has been registered.
