Facelift to roads at Jubilee Hills

A slew of instructions were issued for improvement of the city roads in and around Jubilee Hills on Saturday, after inspection by a team of officials including the GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail N.V.S.Reddy, and Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jitender. Roads& Buildings Department and GHMC were asked to speed up road improvement and BT works, while L&T was asked to shrink the barricade width wherever foundation works are completed, and to remove construction equipment from there. They were also asked to refill the foundation pits near Jubilee Hills Checkpost, Peddamma Temple and Madhapur Police Station.

Mr. Somesh Kumar instructed the removal of debris and construction material on both sides of the Road No.36, and plantation on the central median. Water Board officials were asked to rectify leakage points.

The inspection was conducted following instructions from the Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma towards improvement of city roads for the oncoming Metropolis Conference, the note said.
