MANGALORE: S Bidare in Kadur taluk of Chikmagalur district recorded maximum rainfall of 68mm in Karnataka in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on September 28. Nidigal hobli in Pavagada taluk of Tumkur district recorded maximum temperature of 40.4°C on September 27 at 1.15pm. Halburga hobli in Bhalki taluk of Bidar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 15.1°C on September 28 at 3am.

More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 58% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 12% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of =2.5mm. Heavy rain was recorded in one gram panchayats, rather heavy in six gram panchayats; moderate rain in 105 GPs; light rain in 99 GPs; very light rain in 198 GPs; and no rain in remaining 1533 GPs.
Karnataka for the period from September 22 to September 28 recorded deficit rainfall of 7%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 43mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 40mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on September 27, four geographical regions received 2mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 6mm, a 77% deficit departure from normal.
