Sir Roger Moore will leave 007 fans shaken and stirred today by revealing he no longer drinks martinis, the Sunday People can reveal.

Sir Roger, Bond in seven films, used to enjoy a dry martini before a night out.

But the 86-year-old has stopped drinking them as, like actor Tom Hanks , he suffers from diabetes.

He told a magazine: “I am now slightly addicted to Coke Zero mixed with non-alcoholic beer. I look like a man drinking that.”

Sir Roger, whose 12-year stint as the fictitious spy started with Live and Let Die, also revealed how he copes with dressing.

He said: “As long as I don’t keep falling over when I’m trying to put on my socks, it takes me about 10 minutes to get ready.”

Bond’s tipple of choice, which appeared in the 1953 novel Casino Royale, is a vesper martini, made from a measure of gin, three of vodka and half of Kina Lillet, an aperitif wine.
