Sangolli Rayanna Award for Vatal

Kannada Chaluvali leader Vatal Nagaraj has been chosen for the Sangolli Rayanna Award for 2013 by the selection committee, headed by writer Chandrashekar Patil, in recognition of his struggle for Karnataka and Kannada language.

Research scholar G.M. Biradar has bagged the ‘Prof. K.G. Kundanagara Gadinada Award’ for 2013. This award is given to those who strive hard for the development of border areas. The Jakkanachari Award for 2013 will be conferred on sculptor Basanna Monappa Badigera from Yadagiri.

M. Saraswathi Gowda of Mandya has been chosen for the Danachintamani Attimabbe Award for 2013.
