No big singers for Dandiya

Hyderabad: Hyderabad has been lit up with all the festivities. And this is the latest news on the dandiya front. Organisers of Dildar Dandiya, near Shamshabad, were trying to rope in singers Shaan and Mika to amp up festivities even Yo Yo Honey Singh was considered.

But organisers weren’t sure of security arrangements and sources revealed a few singers were quoting prices upwards of Rs 10lakh. But the lack of big names doesn’t seem much of loss, as Ashok Panwar of Dildar Dandiya says: “We, anyway, see 3,000-4,000 people coming in and if celebs are added to that crowd, it’ll be impossible to control the mayhem.”
