Four things you need to know about Kiesza

If you’re planning to see Kiesza at Webster Hall Friday, be prepared to sweat.

“I have a very athletic show,” the breakout house-pop star, who had a hit earlier this year with “Hideaway,” tells The Post. “I’m getting a trainer who works with football players!”

She can dance up a storm, but as her forthcoming debut album, “Sound of a Woman,” shows, she’s a gifted singer and songwriter, too.

Here are four things you need to know about Kiesza:

1. She works through pain

Kiesza (pronounced “ky-zuh”) filmed the stunning video for “Hideaway” — in which she athletically dances through the streets of Williamsburg — in one continuous take, even though she sustained a hairline rib fracture during the shoot. “I couldn’t move for a few weeks after,” she says. The video now has over 115 million views on You Tube.

2. She competed in a Miss Universe Canada pageant

Although she finished in the Top 15 of around 50 women, the lifestyle of a beauty queen didn’t suit this Canadian. “They gave us some of the fanciest meals imaginable but no one was eating except me,” Kiesza recalls. “I would eat everyone else’s food!”

3. She could have been a sniper

During a spell in the Canadian Navy, Kiesza was noted for her shooting accuracy. “I was approached by someone in the army who suggested I train as a sniper,” she says. “But I turned it down because I never want to have to shoot anyone. I was flattered, but no thank you!”

4. She’s also written songs for Rihanna

The Barbadian singer has picked three songs penned by Kiesza for an upcoming project. “You never know if any of them will even be released,” Kiesza says, “but one of them is one of the best songs I’ve ever written lyrically.”
