The cabler ordered six additional one-hour episodes of its reality competition series “Wizard Wars” Friday, with new installments expected to air in January 2015. The show pits magicians against each other to compete to impress judges Penn & Teller, creating illusions from everyday objects.

The series, which began as a Youtube video pilot on a $15 budget, is produced by A. Smith & Co. Arthur Smith, Kent Weed, Frank Sinton, Tim Eagan, Penn Jillette and Teller serve as executive producers. “Wizard Wars” currently ranks as Syfy’s top unscripted series among males.
