The Lok Satta Udyama Samstha district unit has urged the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to check rampant corruption in the Revenue Department and ensure transparency and accountability among the revenue authorities.

“The people of Telangana want “roti, kapada aur makaan” (food, clothing and shelter) and also corruption-free administration. They are looking forward for reforms in the department which is facing several corruption charges now,” said Lok Satta president N. Srinivas.

The LSP district unit on Friday felicitated a farmer, G. Ravi, of Annaram village in Manakondur for helping ACB officials in trapping Manakondur Tahsilder Rambabu for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 for an official favour.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivas said that in the last one year, around 40 revenue officials in the district were caught by the ACB sleuths. LSP secretary Prakash Holla appreciated the ACB DSP, T. Sudarshan Goud, for his crusade against corruption.
