In a tragic incident, two girls were feared drowned in a pond at Kothurunarayanapuram under Bhadrachalam rural police station limits on Friday.
Sources said that Sarika, 18, an Intermediate student of Jagadeesh Colony in Bhadrachalam, and another girl, 14, reportedly met a watery grave in a local pond while trying to collect Lotus flowers for Bathukamma festivities late in the afternoon.
The police reportedly fished out the body of one of the girls and launched intensive search to trace out another girl.
