There is no let up for Spain's Primera Liga football clubs as the competition moves from matchday 5 into the sixth round of games without a day's break.

The coming weekend should provide a serious test for the title favorites and show just how they stand in terms of their realistic title hopes.

Real Madrid have managed to put crisis behind them with three easy wins, which have seen them score 18 goals in their last three games, but Saturday's visit to play a stylish Villarreal should provide a tougher test than Deportivo, Elche or Basel did. The debate still rages over whether Iker Casillas or Keylor Navas should play in goal, but with Cristiano Ronaldo having scored seven goals in his last two games, perhaps the goalkeeper is not the key factor in the game.

FC Barcelona dropped their first points of the season as a result of Malaga's fine defensive display on Wednesday and they will face another side that is tough to crack at the back when Granada go visit the Camp Nou Stadium.

Luis Enrique will continue to rotate his players, but Leo Messi and company can expect few favors from a typically solid Joaquin Caparros side which leaves little space between lines and can be expected to sit deep and use the pace of Jhon Cordoba and Issac Success on the break.

Atletico Madrid have looked rusty in attack since losing Diego Costa over the summer with the majority of their goals coming from set pieces.

Third placed Sevilla will provide their stiffest challenge of the campaign so far in the Vicente Calderon and Atletico coach, Diego Simeone, who will be allowed back in the dugout after suspension, must be tempted to start with Antoine Griezmann and even risk Mario Mandzukic, despite the Croatian striker suffering a broken nose which would mean he plays in a protective mask.

Athletic Club Bilbao have had a disappointing start to the campaign with four defeats in five matches and will look to start picking up the pieces at home to local rivals Eibar in what promises to be an emotive Basque derby, while Levante and Rayo both look to build on midweek victories in the Ciudad de Valencia Stadium.

Valencia's 3-0 win at home to Cordoba on Thursday made them leaders on goal difference and with Paco Alcazar in form they visit a Real Sociedad side which has struggled in the opening weeks, despite their home win against Real Madrid in the second match of the season.

Meanwhile Deportivo la Coruna entertain Almeria in a match between two sides likely to struggle all campaign while Cordoba play at home to Espanyol, who took their first win of the season on Thursday night against a poor Getafe team, who need to kickstart their season at home to Malaga.

Defeat for Getafe in what is likely to be a half-empty stadium could see coach Cosmin Contra come under some early season pressure. Enditem
