Bangalore/Chennai: AIADMK workers are offering special prayers in temples across Tamil Nadu for a favourable verdict for their party supremo J Jayalaithaa in the disproportionate assets case.

A special court will pronounce its verdict in the DA case against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and three others tomorrow.T he court had directed all the four accused, including Jayalalithaa, to appear before it on the day of judgement, coming after 18 year long proceedings.

The court will operate from the makeshift location of Gandhi Bhavan near Parapanna Agrahara Central Prison in view of security to be provided to Jayalalithaa, who enjoys Z category security, for her personal appearance.

Jayalalithaa has been charged with accumulating Rs 66 crore wealth disproportionate to known sources of her income from 1991-96 in her first term as Chief Minister.

Important leaders of the party, including ministers, and hundreds of workers are heading to Bangalore to support 'Amma' in the court.

Others are offering prayers at temples including a special prayer called 'Shatru Samhara Yaham' (to defeat enemies), all in the hope that God will be kind on their leader.

Jayalalithaa may have to step down as CM if she is convicted in the case.
