JAMMU, Sept 25: Inter-Collegiate Wrestling Competition (Men) was inaugurated by the Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gymnasium Hall, here today.
The gold medal winners included Sunil Singh of Riaz Mohd of GDC Paloura, Dharam Veer Singh, GGM Science College, Shiva Kumar, GDC Kathua,
Sudhesh Singh, GDC Hira Nagar, Lalu Din, GDC Kathua, Ranjeet Singh, GDC Rajouri, Shabir Choudhary, MAM College, Jeevanjot Singh, PG Deptt, Ashiq Hussain, GDC Kathua, Shajad Ahmad, GDC Billawar, Shubam Sharma, GDC Akhnoor, Deepak Chowdhary, GDC R S Pura, Mohd Asif, PG Deptt and Tanvir Singh, GDC Kathua.
The bouts were officiated by Jai Bharat NIS wrestling Coach, Mulkh Raj Sharma, NIS Wrestling Coach, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Sahil Sharma, NIS, wrestling Coach, Dheeraj Sharma, NIS, wrestling Coach, Gurdeep Singh and Kamal Sharma.
Meanwhile, quarter final matches concluded today in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (Men) Championship 2014-15 at University of Jammu.
GDC Ramnagar beat GDC Samba (2-0) by (25-23, 25-20), MAM College lost to GDC Udhampur (1-2) by (25-21, 23-25, 8-15), GDC Hiranagar beat GDC Paloura (2-0) by (25-15, 25-18) and PG Deptt beat GGM Science College (2-0) by (25-28, 25-20).
The matches were officiated by Rajan Sharma, Amit Sharma, Sangita Bhatt, Priya Charak and Prableen Kour.
The matches were organized by Vikas Karlopia, Volleyball coach, University of Jammu
The Inter Collegiate Kho-Kho (Men and Women) tournament was played in the Sports Ground of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here. Today the match was played between MAM College and GDC Paloura College. MAM College, Jammu won the match by 6 points.
The officials were Anil Sharma, Anil Kumar, Ankush Sharma and Gaga Kumar.
